The claim process is an absolute mess. They are rude the service is terrible. They take a long time to look at the vehicle and don't want to pay out.

I was told by a progressive representative in July 2016 that my policy would drop down for the next 6 month (August 2016-January 2016) term, due to the fact that a speeding ticket would be "falling off" during the month of September. Reckless driver in Dracut, MA denying liability.

Rear ended by inexperienced driver probablely on his phone at the wheel. Progressive not supporting my claim, more than 3 month SIU investigation. Total waste of time and money on their part. I have a good lawyer we will probably be filing lawsuit soon. Progressive is trying to bully us so we dissapear, good luck with that. I am not intimidated by Progressives silly tactics and low quality lawyers. We will prevail. Read more

HORRIBLE Experiance. After years of our payments my Retired Mother missed a payment an they wante the full police $400 plus due to keep the insurance. She gets $400 a mOnth Social security. I calle the day after the payment was missed an they said nothing they could do thats our policy. Pay $400 or come back in ayear. COME BACK IN A YEAR. To treat seniors this way is disgusting. We have insurance with this *** insurance company. We put in their snapshot device in both my husbands pickup and my 1999 Mercury Grand Marque LS. Well their device screwed up my car. I call Progressive and was told Oh so sorry we have had this happen before. There is some cars that just don't do well with our device. What can I say? I've been with this company since 2012 and everything was going good until it was time for my renewal. Let's keep in mind how it takes the company 10 to 30 minutes to pick-up a phone call! So while I am waiting and waiting to hear about my new quote, I had to speak to two reps, go through the renewal process, and come to find out, my insurance went up OVER 50%!!!! Why? Most horrible company to deal with during claim. They lie..and simply don't pay out on any claim...worst company around. Been 9 months and no resolution on a progressive client who totaled my car while sitting at traffic signal...he pliwed into the back of me...the worst people to deal with...get a lawyer if ever have to deal with progressive.

This ripoff insurance company continuously advertises for "Snapshot" program to save money. What happens is if you apply for snapshot, they use all sorts of excuses to raise your premiums, such as, they dont like the way you tap on your brakes. Listen, i need to use my brakes to avoid a crash. The useless Progressive insurance company only cares about its shareholder, its big wig executives and its corporate profits.
