Horrible Customer Service with Claim Representative

My claim has been on going since October 2nd of this year. And the claim representative that was assigned to my claim has horrible customer service etiquette.

She is on her own time schedule and never picks up the phone. She would call back at dinner time while being on the same time zone. That is very unprofessional and inconsiderate. She has made me drive my car with the impression that she has made reservations with the body shops that it will get fixed, the furthest one that I had to drive to was 2 hours away.

Just to be told that it would be fixed. I was very furious. Then, when I was redirected to another body shop, they did not have my files ready nor was my bumper in stock until 2 weeks later.

And when I finally dropped it off, the field agent was very rude about the situation and when I asked to explain the things in more in-depth, she caught an attitude. And this whole time I did not have a rental car when I needed one.

My daughter lost her car in the Waverly, TN flood on August 20, 2021. It is now October 12, 2021 and Progressive has still not closed/paid her claim. The car is totaled and now they are saying that she has to pay almost $650 in rental fee overage because the claim is still open even though it is thru no fault of hers. She even spoke with a representative from Progressive and a representative from Enterprise on a conference call and was told that she would not have to pay and that Progressive would take care of the bill when the claim is finished. Now, two days later, they are saying the EXACT opposite! DO NOT USE PROGRESSIVE!!! YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF WITH NO INSURANCE!

I was lied to and the representative implied I was ignorant

I am waiting 5 weeks to get a price to n replacing my car that was totaled by a Progressive client.. today got a call asking me to just hand over title without any payment and the caller implied I was ignorant as he would help me fill it out. How Dispicable! Beware of how they handle claims - seems rather shady

Bad Service

Ive been a Progressive customer for years. Recently all my bank accounts were hacked. I contacted all my creditors to let them know the situation. The only one Ive had difficulty with is Progressive. I was told that if I didnt pay my premium within two weeks of when it was due they would drop me. Doesnt matter that Im waiting on money to become available. In the day where hacking is prevalent you would think they would work with their customers.but, no!

Progressive just dropped me for 3 hit and run accident, and they caught two of them. Then they keep my car for 45 days because they had back order parts. They charged me the extra for the rental. I think if they choose to fix the car pay for my rental. But to drop me for the accidents that were not my fault. The best part is We want to thank you for being a long time Emerald customer after every call even though they dropped me.

I was involved in an accident. I filed a claim on Thursday and called the rep. No answer. Was informed someone would contact by end of business day. No calls received Thursday or Friday. Checked online claim still says received. Called again and received no response. My car still needs to be fixed so I can drive to work. No one has reached out and Ive tried everything.

Offensive commercials

TV commercial Dont Become Your Parents Based on this commercial alone, I would never buy Progressive Insurance. Who do they think pays for the insurance? What do they think they gain from denigrating parents.

I beleive Progressive has unethical racial issues with claim customers

I am currently on the receiving end of dealing with Progressive claim department and am finding, assumingly, if both parties are African American and even ageable (older) there is manipulation and deception going on.So on that note I asked the rep, Anadel via text, email to continue with this claim but I am going to seek ACLU attorney or some type of civil rights attorney to look in to my situation in trying to get this claim paid. Not for the money, but their Ethics practice in this matter.

Unsatisfied with handling of claim

My daughter, a progressive customer, has been fighting for rental and deductible reimbursement for 2 months. The claim involved a woman who hit my daughters parked car. Due to the handling of the agent I would never recommend progressive to anyone.
