My nightmare with progressive

It all started when a roommate backed my vehicle out of driveway without m knowledge & or permission and of course the individual hit another vehicle and progressive claims specifically one Clara Morrison settled the claim and added said roommate to policy two months after accident happened and I have left numerous phone messages and emails leaving contact info to no avail .Now claim is settled and closed ms.morrison wants to email me stating how we can proceed ? With what I ask?

Now my premium doubled and the roommate has moved out needless to say and even though I caught the addition the same day actually within minutes of it being posted and backdated by agent based on?? Progressive says oh gee we cant correct that you will have to pay or provide proof that roommate lives elsewhere?

How and when did anyone contact me in the two month period that passed since accident to see if gee maybe roommate had moved. Never again after 8 years and 5 vehicles I am good I will find another less known insurance company maybe they will appreciate timely payments no tickets and 1 minor back up accident in 8 years, hmm not bad....

Ebony Ijeh is way too xxxkin' rude and unprofessional. She does not have any clue what shes talking about or the job.

Never picks up the phone. Never returns a call. Quick to flip the story. Quick to mess up things.

Take zero responsibility of her words and mess she caused.

Great claims experiences

We have had Progressive Auto since 2000. Excellent claims adjustments always. Good responses on Roadside Assistance. Love them. We recently had a big hail storm which damaged our pickup, Prius and a travel trailer. Adjuster came to our rural location to assess the damage. We felt they were more than fair. Everyone was so nice and the payments came quickly. We have used the Roadside Assistance a number of times over the years. It is so cheap and a lifesaver if you need them. I have even had them change a flat in my driveway! I make my payments online and pay six months at a time which saves me almost as much as one monthly payment. I get adequate notice and the process is easy.

Discrimintation and ignorance

I was in an accident that is a slam dunk as to who was at fault. I was going south and turning right (west) with all green lights including the green arrow for special right turn lane.

There was no traffic, (5:45 a.m.) I turned right with the green light and traveled no more than 30 feet starting to turn into the left lane I was totally established, and I was hit in the left fender (wheel well) by a car that had turned left going north, and then he turned left (the best he could have was a flashing yellow light meaning he had to yield to oncoming traffic including right turns. I told my PROGRESSIVE representative, and only when I told him it was an unmarked police car did he say it was my fault without ever seeing pictures, getting a report etc. Oh I forgot to mention the police officer had to use his own insurance ummm wonder why, maybe they watched the dash cam that is required to be turned on at all times in Oregon. The PROGRESSIVE employee saw the pictures where it was clear I was established because he hit me over the left front tire and so he clearly saw me, he had only a dimple on the unmarked car.

I am afraid they messed with the wrong woman, I am suing the police department on my own..... More later

Terrible at handling an accident.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I was in an accident and it wasn't my fault. They took forever to get the police report and get back to me and they did a terrible job at handling the accident. They also will not be getting me any money for the accident to fix my car and they didn't try very hard to fight for me either and now I am without a car. I would not recommend them anymore. They used to be good but now they aren't, they have gotten worse over the years. I think anyone seeking a car insurance should seek elsewhere. The agents don't care about you and whether or not you get your money.

Bad quality

Preferred solution: I take my car to the body shop and either my insurance pays for it or they sue the other insurance company and get the money from them. But either way I don't have the money to pay for the damages. I also don't want my insurance payments to go up.

We had progressive since April 2016 and today I was involved in a minor fender bender! I called progressive to report the accident.

Shortly after that I received a call from the agent asking details of the accident, with her taking down all the info at the end of our conversation she told me that progressive insurance dropped us last week because they sent us a letter asking where the vehicles would be garaged! I was in total shock asking why thy would not send a registered letter about the severity of this case ,she told me they didn't do that sort of stuff. We hung up and I spoke to my husband and got our thoughts together and I called back , after speaking to several people and getting nowhere I asked for a supervisor , I spoke to a Judy customer care supervisor and got nowhere but a lot of extra aggravation from her she dropped my call two times and gave me a bogus number to call.

I am completely aggravated and do no know what to do ! The final straw was they mailed the information to the wrong address so of coarse we wouldn't have gotten it

They told you exactly right. Insurance premiums are pooled money.

We all put our money in and when one of us has a claim the money to pay that claim is pulled from the pool.

Prices to repair vehicles and pay for injuries will never decrease. Do you pay the same prices for your groceries today as you did two years ago?

You can help control your increases by keeping a good driving record, low mileage, good credit and having higher deductibles.

The less the insurance company has to pay, the less you have to pay.

Do not ever expect price decreases. It is a for profit business and claims are not slowing down anytime soon.

Misquoted Price

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was told by a progressive representative in July 2016 that my policy would drop down for the next 6 month (August 2016-January 2016) term, due to the fact that a speeding ticket would be "falling off" during the month of September.

Then I got a bill and it was the exact same amount as the last 6 months.

When I called and told another representative what I was promised/told, they said, oh no that representative made a mistake. This company needs to honor its word when they tell a customer something.

Poor business practice to tell a customer something, then not do it. If the first representative misquoted, then the company should still honor what was discussed during that call.

UNSATIFIED CUSTOMER

I was in an accident about 7 days ago. I called 800 number to report the accident, I was given a claim #16543****. Upon contact with a progressive rep. and explain to him what had happen and I was deemed at fault. The rep.told me I had limit collusion and the accident was not cover if I was at fault. I explain to the rep. that I would of never agree to those terms. I purchase the truck on a Saturday and was not able to contact my local rep. and spoke to a rep. from progressive, I have a lean on this truck and have to carry full coverage. The rep from did not explain to me that it was limit collision. I have a 100 mile trip to work and I am a single father, I have paid my insurance premium on time and have been a member of Progressive for over 3 years. With the loan payment and over 200 dollars insurance a month does not leave a person with low income a lot left over. I have not heard for Progressive since Monday. I need a response and the truck fixed. Not happy with the service I have receive.

Progressive Auto - bad roadside service

Don't buy roadside service from Progressive. I had to call the insurance company twice to be tranferred several times before getting to Agero roadside service a separate company from Progressive. My car broke down. I started calling Progressive at 3:30. They transferred me to Agero who put me on hold to verify my policy information and disconnected me. At 4:06 the police came to impound my car to get it off of the road. It went to impound. At 6 p.m. a towtruck from Agero arrived and could not find my car. I called Progessive who couldn't help me pay the impound fee to get the car out of the yard, Progessive conference called me in to an agent at Agero who said it would take two business days for someone to get back to me to determine my eligibility for towing fee reimbursement. This is Thursday night. Two business days is Monday at the earliest. I do not have any other transportation, nor do I have any extra for $270 to get my car out of impound and to the mechanic.

Horrible! They charge you for people that live you with you even though they dont drive your car. I had to send paperwork to exclude them. Here is the kicker! They claim they never received it. So i faxed it. But they are charging me anyway up to the date they say they got my fax! Going to find a decent insurance carrier and cancel these thieves!

Omg this happened to me !!

They added my boyfriend on to my insurance. I tried to remove him,.

After I faxed the paper work, which where court papers. The underwriter said that the address was not on there!!

When all court papers have your address on there at least twice! I sent multiple different documents and they had an excuse for each one.

Yes, people who live in your home that have a driver's license pose a risk. Just because you "say" someone doesn't drive your car doesn't mean they don't have access to it. They are considered a resident, therefore they are a risk and would be covered under your policy in the event of an accident unless they were formally excluded.
