False advertising and leads. They say the policy can start at one price point then increase almost 95% for little to no reason.

They said $88 dollars per month but now I'm getting billed $173 dollars per month?? Somebody's lying!!!

Not a fan. Difficult company to do business with.

They charge fees for random things. They increase your price from the quote screen to the screen where you pay online. If you call Customer Support, their automated phone system is infuriating and will hang up on you frequently. If you do get a Customer Service Representative, the customer service is poor. The website is not intuitive. If you do things out of the order they want you to do it in to make changes to your policy, you will incur additional fees. If you make a partial payment, they will refund it, then send you a new bill with late fees added.

Customer Service

Worst customer service ever!! Tried to contact Progressive to cancel my auto policy, I was on the phone for hours, no representative was available to cancel my policy. I have tried to cancel the policy for the last week with no luck to speak to a representative.

Claim Filing

Put a claim in for Honda Accord which they listed the other car instead of the car that was damaged. You send an email and get no response!! Wasting time as they told me where to get an estimate and they also called Progressive to tell them it was the wrong vehicle. They still have not replied. Terrible customer service!! I recently got some of your mail addressed to another name at my home. Then I also got a piece of your mail sent to my PO Box with another name. I was trying to call you to see what was going on and find out about these names that apparently are connected with my address and PO Box. Underwriting Team completely UNREACHABLE

Progressive Insurance - Underwriting Team completely UNREACHABLE
I received a notice of cancellation or increase unless I contacted the Underwriting Team prior to a certain date. I called the number provided multiple times. I waited on hold several times, up to an hour. Not only that, but I called them as soon as they opened and randomly throughout the day. I had other agents try and reach them as well, also unsuccessful. I have given up. I will simply cancel my multiple policies and switch insurance companies.

Overcharged over 2k beyond what I was quoted.

I am paying more than the value of my car for state minimums. This is highway robbery. They said they would correct my premium to reduce it and then sent a bill for double.

BAD FAITH LACK OF INTEGRITY UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR TERON GANT DISREGARDED INTERVIEWS OF INSURED DRIVERS WHO BOTH SAID THAT PROGRESSIVE DRIVER HIT STATE FARM DRIVERS CAR. INVESTIGATION OF LOCATION AND PHOTOS OF DAMAGE SUBSTANTIATE THAT PROGRESSIVE INSURED IS 100% LIABLE AND YET, PROGRESSIVE AGENT IS SAYING - AFTER THREE MONTHS DOING NOTHING (!!!) Progressive tried to convict me of fraud. I was found innocent and here it is over a year later and they are still accusing me of fraud and they refuse to give me a reason nor have they called.

They dont return emails nor calls and they falsely accused me fraud and lost the case. I didn't get my car fixed and they still are accusing me of fraud and now trying to bill me for a dropped and closed case. They are thieves and customer service is the worst I've ever seen. Insurance is a joke when it's needed.
